We love porridge season here at The Nest (although some of us would argue that it is porridge season all year round). This apple & blackberry porridge is autumn in a bowl, especially when topped with our Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter.
Serves: 1 big portion, or 2 small
Prep and cooking time: 15 mins
- 50g porridge oats
- 300ml plant based milk
- 1 apple, grated
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- a small handful of blackberries
- 1 tbsp nut butter (we used Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter)
- a drizzle of maple syrup
- a small handful of pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
- fruit and yoghurt to serve, and extra nut butter
Heat your oats and milk in a pan with the grated apple and cinnamon until thick and creamy. Stir though the nut butter and blackberries until the fruit just starts to pop. Serve with fresh fruit and seeds, a drizzle of maple syrup, a dollop of yoghurt and a generous spoonful of nut butter!
