Apples and peanut butter have always been a go to snack at The Nest, but this baked apple twist adds a new crunchy joy
- 2 unpeeled apples
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Sweet & Salty Smooth or Crunchy
Preheat your oven to a low 120°C.
Thinly slice your apple into 2/3mm round slices.
Remove any pips (not to be confused with your Pip & Nut jar, keep that at the ready of course 😉).
Lay your slices on a lined baking sheet, top with cinnamon to taste, and bake 'low and slow' for at least one hour until golden and crispy. Be careful not to burn them and leave in the oven a little longer if needed, your baked slices should be able to hold their shape when picked up.
Once cooled, enjoy dipping these sweet, crispy slices in your favourite Sweet & Salty peanut butter. We've been enjoying our crunchy jar for that extra texture.
