Apple, Raisin and Peanut Butter Porridge

Apple, Raisin and Peanut Butter Porridge

Peanut butter and porridge are meant to be. One of the ways we like to make this combo even tastier is by stirring in grated apple and a sprinkle of raisins to our porridge. Delicious!

Ingredients for two

For the porridge

75g porridge oats

100ml unsweetened almond milk

150ml water

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

50g raisins

2 tbsp peanut butter of choice

To top

2 tbsp peanut or almond butter of choice

1 grated apple (skin on!)

4 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

Method

1. Put the oats in a medium pan with the milk, water, raisins, cinnamon and nut butter.

2. Bring to the boil over a medium heat, stirring continuously.

3. Turn down the heat and continue to cook, stirring until the porridge is creamy and the raisins have softened - around 5-7 mins.

4. Divide the porridge between two bowls, top with grated apple, nut buttter and maple syrup to taste.
