Tribe x Pip & Nut: Trail Packs and a special Run Tribe
If you’re into running, you should know about Tribe. They’re a pretty cool gang and we’re super excited about our upcoming event with them.
For the uninitiated, Kit + Ace was founded in Vancouver in 2014 with the plan to deliver innovative products that provide comfort and ease of use to the wearer, while still offering the style and quality of luxury brands. Kit + Ace is future-focused and always in pursuit of the newest systems, fabrics, tools, construction and care to constantly improve its products. Technical Cashmere™ is the first of Kit + Ace’s technical fabrics and is the perfect mix of luxury and functionality – it is even machine washable! In short, they are a pretty cool brand.
So, as you can imagine, we were really excited to get the opportunity to host ‘The New Breakfast Club’ with Kit + Ace last Saturday in ‘The Space’: their beautiful pop-up location in Shoreditch (we decided that we actually quite wanted to live there…).
Bright and early this morning the Pip & Nut squirrels were lucky enough to join in the fun at Lewis Cubitt Square, as FRAME and Nike Training Club took over King’s Cross and totally smashed the first in a series of three special #TrainTuesday sessions.
Sometimes it’s tricky to know what to eat after exercise and how to balance out your fats, protein and carbohydrates, otherwise know as your macros. But, fundamentally, if you’ve managed to get yourself out of bed 30 minutes earlier for that jog round the park or opted for the gym session instead of a glass of wine post work, you absolutely deserve something that tastes great
and that doesn’t feel like anther sacrifice.
We gathered up the team in The Nest to map out our favourite urban running routes in London. Whilst running in a big city can be challenging, it also offers a unique possibility to combine sightseeing, exercise and exploring the cities hidden gems. So if you’re out for a run this weekend why not try out one of these awesome running routes?
Pip & Nut is working with Nike this summer on their largest women’s running series yet, We Run London. We Run London culminates in a 10k in Victoria Park on the 21 June 2015 and we’re on the hunt for two squirrels to join the Pip & Nut crew to run the race.
We sat down with Pip Black, one of the co-founders of the hip London based fitness studio FRAME ,to get her best tips on training, sports nutrition and much more…
Where is your favourite place in London for an outdoor work-out?
Victoria Park – its just on my doorstep and it’s big enough that you feel like you’re not in London. The far end by Hackney Wick is my favourite as it’s always pretty empty and the light through the trees at dawn or dusk is completely surreal.
